Best Wishes / Joshua Alan Sturgill

we’ll find an empty aisle
of the grocery store
where we can make our vow

and grow our garden
between the highway
and this row of warehouses

since every place is claimed
and all times are identical.

How pitiful it is
to fall in love
in a world without gods
