When his frame becomes very
frail, and his spirit is about to expire,
Whoever has walked north on the road under this sky will
find himself situated in a quiet prairie.

Cows’ companion
stands mesmerized where the rain on
the arroyo-wrinkles
still tickles, but the rattlesnake’s venom
no longer sprinkles.
