The Kingdom of Heaven / Phillip Neal Tippin
Even if one’s righteousness exceeds that of Wendel,
Having burrowed in and woke in a member’d peace
Unable even to separate the “how we live” from “home,”
He would still be called to conjure estrangement,
To spend the evenings reading and writing fear,
Embracing alienation with that foreigner feel
For grounds in and around the Kingdom wait,
And must not rest without both in mind, for a time.
