The Ancient Modern

Where (Not) To Look /  Joshua Alan Sturgill

Don’t look for equilibrium
among the unbalanced

Don’t trust the accolades
of the envious

Don’t try to follow
the trepidatious; they
are paralyzed with fear

The insane will assume
your insanity

The greedy will assume
you came to steal

Don’t ask direction
from the acrophobic; they
will never let you ascend
