Darkly Bright Press is a small, independent book publisher with a focus on Uncommon Literature & Liturgical Christianity. Inspired by Welsh writer Arthur Machen’s emphasis on ecstasy in literature, our mission is to curate and spotlight such works by past voices and provide a platform for new authors, poets and artists.
Darkly Bright Press presents a dedicated space for the study of the lives and works of the prolific Benson family. As we have done for Arthur Machen, we will be making available forgotten and neglected material in the form of stories, essays and biographies. In the coming months, the section will continue to expand with free, downloadable content such as the recently released book, Where No Fear Was by Arthur Christopher Benson.
